A vehicle transporting election officials crashed in Karimganj

An election officer from Karimganj Lok Sabha constituency was involved in a crash before the second phase of polling in the 18th Lok Sabha elections. The incident took place in the Ramkrishna Nagar area of Karimganj. The accident happened while the election officers were en route to their assigned polling station. Those injured in the crash were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Subsequently, another team was dispatched to the polling station to replace the affected election officers. Meanwhile, in Odalguri, a presiding officer named Arun Daimari, who is a teacher at Odalguri Girls High School, was apprehended for being under the influence of alcohol while on duty.
